She was romantically attached to her erstwhile manager, Tunji Balogun aka TeeBillz. The relationship eventually led to marriage in April 2014 and the marriage was blessed with a son. Things, however, fell apart between the couple who have since gone their separate ways.

This opened her eyes and she realized she had to make changes. She did the needful and soon she had music lovers jamming to her songs all over the country.
Another challenge she faced was the male domination of the Nigerian music industry. She overcame this as well and soon established herself as a force to be reckoned within the industry. Tiwa teamed up with her then manager, TeeBillz to establish 323 Entertainment.
In 2012, she teamed up with ace music producer, Don Jazzy. This union further aided her career growth and under the guidance of Don Jazzy, Tiwa would go on to flourish musically. Her debut single Kele Kele Love was released under Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records. The song performed excellently well and was a chart-topper in 2013 when it was released. Her debut album soon followed.
