Following the sacking of Fulani herdsmen from Ibarapa community in Oyo state, the governor of the state, Seyi Makinde has ordered the arrest of the courageous youth, Sunday Igboho.
He declares his arrest as Sunday sacks the herdsmen from his state without his permission. In addition, it is acceptable for any Nigerian irrespective of the tribe to live anywhere they wish, as long as they are Nigerians and they are being peaceful.
However, the Fulani herdsmen have been a menace to the Yorubas and the southerners. Their incessant killings and oppression of innocent citizens has been a cause of concern, and the government has done nothing in curtailing this.
The youth decided to take law into their hands, as the constant oppression and killings didn’t seem like it was going to stop.
Former Ekiti governor, Ayo Fayose has advised that Seyi Makinde embraces dialogue and persuasion to resolve the ongoing tension in the state.
Nigerians have come out to defend Sunday Igboho because he’s fighting for nothing but a just cause. The Fulani herdsmen have done more harm than good in Nigeria, hence their eviction from Oyo state.
They recall when Igbos were asked to leave the North and no one was arrested for doing so.
