Nnamdi Kanu’s court hearing adjourned.

The Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) agitator, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who was extradited into Nigeria for close to a month and has been in custody ever since, has had his case adjourned. He is head of agitators for referendum to the given to the Igbo people, and for them to become a separate entity from Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu, whose court hearing is supposed to hold today at the Federal High Court in Abuja, has been declared absent by his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, due to some pending application before the court to transfer him from the DSS to a correctional centre.

This is after news spread like wildfire round the country about his court hearing holding today, and his followers had already come out in solidarity with him. Popular Nigerians like Rita Edochie also beckoned on people to come out in support of Nnamdi Kanu, but alas! He was absent at the court.

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, however, stated that the trial could not continue without the accused in attendance.
The judge thereby adjourned the hearing to October 21, demanding that the DSS release him in order to have his presence at the court.
