LIST OF PROFESSIONAL COURSES IN NIGERIA

With unemployment rates steadily increasing, the prospects of getting a high-paying job in Nigeria can seem like a mirage. According to the NBS Nigeria (National Bureau of Statistics), at least 17 million citizens between the ages of 15 and 64 are either unemployed or underemployed.

This gives a taste of the fierce competition for well-paying jobs. For the average Nigerian who just wants to survive, this is a tough struggle. To compound these problems, University level certificates have little or no value in today’s current global workforce climate.

This is where professional courses come in: they give one that extra edge in the rat race to financial freedom by positioning you as an expert in a particular field. The successful completion of a professional course would yield a professional certification. The objective is to focus on getting you grounded in a particular field and increase your chances of getting better high paying jobs where you will offer proper expert solutions to problems.

These professional courses and certifications are most times awarded by the relevant body or association in your chosen field and they are available for only graduates, although some can be undertaken by undergraduates, e.g. ICAN. Professional certifications give you the relevant skill and knowledge required and also give your employer a clear indication that you are well-grounded in your chosen career path.
