APC Members Throw Chairs at Each Other as Their Stakeholders Meeting in Kwara Ends in Violence

The APC stakeholders meeting in Kwara state ended in violence today after the two factions of the party in the state fought for supremacy. The meeting which held at the Banquet Hall, Government House in Ilorin, the state capital, started on a peaceful note until it was disrupted by some other party members who felt they were being cheated. The crisis soon saw the members from the opposing factions throwing the iron chairs in the hall at each other. 10 members sustained varying degrees of injury while the vehicle of one of them was damaged..

Eye witness report has it that, the clash started when supporters of Governor AbdulRazaq mobilized by the governor’s office denied Mr Bolarinwa and his supporters access into the Banquet Hall for the meeting.

A female supporter of the governor had charged at Mr Bolarinwa who luckily entered the hall.

This led to exchange of blows and throwing of chairs between the opposing factions.
