American University of Nigeria (AUN) is one of the top private universities in Nigeria. The school was established by Nigeria’s former Vice-president and former Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar. It is located in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State in Nigeria’s North-East region. The school was established in 2004 and offers American-style education to students in the country. AUN is the first American-style university in Sub-Saharan Africa.
AUN is duly accredited by the National Universities Commission. The university is reputed for providing students with a high level of education. Studying at AUN does not come cheap at all as you will realize after reading this article. You are, however, guaranteed quality for the money paid.
Despite the high fees charged by the school, competition for admission spaces is very competitive each year. AUN currently admits less than 1500 students yearly. This means only the best-qualified students get in each year. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission into AUN.
